# OBJECTIVES
To review the progress in the fields of cement and concrete
since the 4th Beijing international Symposium held in 1998
and to exchange the achievements of related scientific research
throughout the world, and thus to promote the sustainable
development of cement and concrete industries in 21st century.
# TOPICS
-Technology and equipment for cement making, including new
technology and new equipment of various kinds, energy conservation
and environmental protection in cement manufacturing, and
process automation of production.
-Blended cements and special cements, including function and
use of new kinds of cement, industrial wastes used in cement
industry, and new cementitious materials.
-Cement concrete and products, including new techniques for
making concrete products, special concrete of all kinds, concrete
admixtures, products of lime and gypsum, and industrial wastes
used in concrete. -Basic research and experimental techniques,
including theoretical study on cement and concrete, and new
experimental techniques by using modern instruments to open
up new fields of material science.
-Circulation and trade of building material, including technique
and economy of storage and transportation, exportation and
importation of cement.
# SEMINARS
The Organizing Committee schedules several seminars in the
afternoon, Oct. 31, 2002. Companies and organizations are
welcome to sponsor seminars with the topics chosen by themselves.
The main theme may include environmental friendly cement based
materials, eco-cement, advanced equipment and technology and
utilization of wastes for producing cement based materials,
etc. Meeting room and the other necessary facilities will
be provided by the symposium. The charge for sponsoring a
seminar is USD3,000.
# LANGUAGES
-The official languages of the symposium are Chinese and English
- Simultaneous interpretation will be available
- All papers to be presented during the sessions should be
typed in English

# REGISTRATION
To register for the conference, please complete and return
this registration form before March 1, 2002, together with
an abstract of your paper within 500 words, if you would like
to give a presentation during the conference. The full paper
and a text for 15-minute oral presentation should be given
before April 1, 2002.
# COORDINATING EXHIBITION
The posting boards, standard stands, and other necessary facilities
will be provided for participants to exhibit samples, pictures,
and photos of your products and equipment. Expense will depend
on the exhibition area used. Estimated cost for 1 m2 is USD100.
# ACCOMMODATION
Registration should be made by filling this registration form
and a deposit of USD100 for hotel has to be paid, together
with the registration fee, by T/T to Chinese Ceramic Society,
Head Office, Bank of China, Beijing, A/C No. 00164908094001,
indicating 5th ISCC. No reservation will be confirmed in the
absence of the payment.
